The Windows operating system performance is tied closely to the registry. In order for Windows to perform at its optimal level the registry should be kept clear of errors. These registry errors can lead to crashes and poor performance of your computer. Every time software is installed or removed there is an accumulation of entries of which some are unnecessary. 7. Old Entries: The registry records everything that is done to your system and overtime these entries build up and can eventually lead to problems. In a perfect world these entries would be removed after they were used. In most cases these entries remain in the registry and can bog down and slow your system down to the speed of snail.
